Two women reported that they were robbed at gunpoint at a popular Buckhead shopping center by men wearing ski masks!

Casi Marcus, one of the victims, stated she had just finished dinner with her Bible study group at a Houston's restaurant at West Paces Ferry and Northside Parkway when two men wearing ski masks appeared out of nowhere and pointed a gun at her face.

Casi told Channel 2 Action News reporter Ashley Swan she remembered initially not feeling vulnerable as she stood chatting with her friend at her car in the parking lot of the popular restaurant; but that all that changed in a flash.

“It was a Monday night,” Marcus said. “It was 8:30. It's just not something you would think of at all". “They just put a gun up to us and asked us for our stuff,” Marcus said. “It was real quick, but scary."

Casi's friend managed to run away as she (Casi) handed over everything she had. When asked what she turned over to the thugs, she stated “My wallet, my phone, some jewelry that was in my purse, my organizer, some glasses...”.
“The Connecticut tragedy had just happened,” Marcus said. “That was the only thing I thought about was just how quickly things can change, and I was just in shock.”

Her friend just watched helplessly as the men sped off along Northside Parkway in a white sedan after taking all of her possessions.

Casi said she's just thankful no one was hurt, and that she can now warn others about how important it is to pay attention to what's going on around you at all times.

"I learned a lot of lessons from it,” shared Marcus. “I just hope that everyone's really aware of their surroundings when they're leaving restaurants. And if I've learned anything, don't talk by your car. Just get in your car. If you still need to talk to a friend then just call each other on the phone" she told Channel 2 Action News.
